Now Muzik has set a new date for the album release party of 2011 Star Quest winners ‘D’ Beat.

The launch of the album, called ‘D’ Beat Goes On‘ was originally slated for Sunday, June 24, 2012, but will now hold on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at The Place on Isaac John Street, GRA, Lagos.

Now Muzik  boss Efe Omorogbe tells us the album will be launched during the monthly music initiative of the label, called ‘Live Lounge’. ‘This was put in place to showcase artistes and their musical works through a series of exclusive live performance at different venue across the country. The album ‘D’ Beat Goes On is a collection of good music with splendid production work from experienced and creative production team’.

According to a rep of the firm,‘The event didn’t get enough coverage from the organisers, as the TV commercials and radio jingles came in late. As such, the event had to be postponed to make it bigger and better.’

He further said the fans of the D’ Beat and the group ‘deserve a wonderful launch.’

D’ Beat, formerly known as The B.E.A.T during the reality show, is a six man band with three ladies and three men (Sammie Tochux, Beauty Aghedo, Enid Eyube, Charity Adubi, Efetobor Ojarigho and Justice Adigho). They beat five other bands, including Harmonics and Storm, to win the big prize last year.

The 10 track album features songs such as Oyoyo, Se Lense, Fall in Love Again, which was produced by Paul Play, and many more. The video of their single ‘Oyoyo’ will also be premiered at the launch party.
